Posting to social media often feels like whispering to a person with no ears—they’re not hearing you and their eyes have already moved on with the next scroll. That’s a shame because our work deserves more than to vanish into the algorithmic void. Having a rewarding 8-year career in photography and filmmaking, I've collected a treasure trove of experiences, failures, and successes. I have beliefs and opinions; some held firmly, others loosely. I arrive at those opinons and beliefs through conversation, dialogue, debate, and observation. That sort of interaction just doesn’t happen as deeply on social media as it does other mediums. I’m also of the mind that artists should have more ownership over the platforms their work is distributed on.
This newsletter is my attempt at all of above—a more intimate and direct channel where I can share my art, thoughts, and celebrate other creatives who inspire me. It’s about engaging more meaningfully with the world, offering a peek behind the lens, and perhaps inspiring your own creative endeavors.
